Day 1: Departure from Nairobi and arrival in Masai Mara National Park

Day 2: Mara River Migration and Campfire Magic

In the morning, you are awakened by the sounds of the wilderness, sounds of the distant roars by the lions and the chirping birds. Savor a warm breakfast and get briefed by your tour guide about the day’s adventures and experiences. Later, embark on a guided morning game drive in this park. During this game drive, you will spot the big five animals (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and giraffes) roaming around the tall grass and some grazing on it.  Also, witness the great wildebeest migration, and spot wildebeests feeding on the short grass and others crossing the Mara River.  Experience the predator-prey encounters and see the lions try to attack the wildebeest calves as their mothers fight using their bodies and horns to defend their young ones.

Day 3: Dive into the Maasai cultural Experience in Kenya. 

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at Talek Bush Camp, then embark on a sunrise game drive through the park after a briefing from your guide. As the sun casts a warm glow on the golden landscape, see the giraffes and zebras feed on the grasses of the Masai Mara plains with mist. Also, see the wildebeests grazing on the fresh morning grass, and some migrating in large herds.

In the early afternoon, visit the Maasai local community and villages and be welcomed with their open arms and wide smiles. Also, enjoy the traditional local cuisine of the Maasai People of Kenya aas well as entertainment to showcase their culture through music and dance. Later, your tour guide will take you on a guided walk through the Maasai villages. Hence, see the traditional homes (Manyattas) and the Bomas where the Maasai enclose their livestock and experience their day to day daily lives.

In the evening, have a camping experience with the Maasai as they tell you their ancient stories and myths. Alternatively, enjoy a bush dinner and then later head back to your lodge and rest. This marks the end of your Masai Mara safari experiences.

Day 4: Departure to Serengeti National Park from Masai Mara.

In the early dawn, wake up and have a breakfast buffet that has part of the local cuisine. As usual, get a briefing from your Serengeti Masai Mara tour guide about the experiences on this day during your 10 day Serengeti, Masai Mara and Victoria Falls Safari. Check out of your Talek Bush Camp and then proceed and board the safari vans for your Serengeti safari tour. The journey from Serengeti to Masai Mara is about 119 kilometers (about 74 miles) by road. So, it will take you between 5 to 7 hours to reach Serengeti National Park, depending on the route taken.

Later, check in at Seronera Wildlife Lodge, get hospitalized with refreshments, and then relax. In the late evening, your guide will brief you and take you on a sunset game drive through Serengeti National Park. As you drive through its endless golden plains, you might spot predators like lions and leopards prepared for their hunt as they stalk their prey in the tall grasses.

You will often see the zebras, wildebeests, and elephants, some moving in herds and others moving individually as they roam freely in the Savannah. Day 5: Enjoy Serengeti Hot air Balloon Rides and wildlife Thrills

Go on a guided morning game drive through the park right after your breakfast at your Serengeti camp. Witness the Serengeti migration safari of wildebeests in the north of this park. Spot some wildebeests roaming freely and other herds crossing the Mara River. Then, you will be taken to the Seronera Valley where hot air balloons in Serengeti are launched.

Day 6: Enjoy Serengeti’s hidden gems and river picnics

Wake up to a morning buffet, prepare and go on the morning game drive where you will witness zebras and giraffes roaming in the sun-kissed Serengeti plains. So, go through the endless plains and breathtaking scenery of rolling hills and the scattered acacia woodlands. In the afternoon, have another thrilling lunch picnic experience near Seronera River. So, you might spot lions, leopards and elephants in proximity. Also, enjoy the scenic views of the flowing Seronera River and the vast open endless grasslands with rocky outcrops. In the afternoon, experience the Hadzabe tribe cultural tour. On this day we shall focus on the Hadzabe and not on the Masai or Datoga tribes. So, the Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. However, when meeting this tribe, strictly follow your tour guide’s instructions so that you enjoy this unique cultural experience.

Additionally, enjoy a meal that has part of the traditional cuisine of the Hadzape people like the baobab fruit and greens. Accompany the hunters and participate in gathering honey, wild fruits and berries. Day 8: River Zambezi Cruise and Victoria Falls Arrival from Serengeti

Then, you will be driven to the airport and check in for your 3-hour flight to Zambia. You can also opt for a road trip to the Victoria Falls, but this is longer and cheaper. Check in at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge just 4 kilometers from the Victoria Falls. Relax at your hotel, enjoy a meal and reminisce about the experience, and get ready for a new adventure.

Later in the day, take a sunrise boat cruise on the Zambezi River as you enjoy breathtaking views of the waterfalls and the surrounding landscape. Also, you will spot wildlife like the hippos grazing on the banks, giraffes bending down to drink water from the river. Enjoy watching diverse bird species like fish eagles and bee-eaters.

Day 9: Go for Helicopter Views of the Victoria Falls and a Chobe Safari Adventure

In the morning, after breakfast, go for a helicopter ride over the Victoria waterfalls.
