The location of Serengeti National Park is one of the factors that favors the Tanzania migration safari event that happens in months of June to October  in some parts of the Serengeti Tanzania region.

The diverse floral species of Serengeti NP from the golden grasslands to the scattered acacia trees provide suitable hiding shelters for the hunted (prey). Also, they act as open hunting grounds for the predators. The herbivores also delight in the infinite grasslands of the Serengeti Tanzanija plains. And also, water sources that flow through the rocky grounds of the Serengeti attract more wild species especially the birds. Below is the Serengeti National Park Map.

Climate and Best Time To Visit Serengeti

Want to have trips to the Serengeti? You should consider the climate and best time to visit Serengeti in Tanzania for your Serengeti safari holidays. The climate of Serengeti changes throughout the year and this affects the behaviors of the wild animals and their movement patterns. The long dry season in Serengeti from early June to October is the best time to visit to Serengeti National Park. This is because most of the wild species can be sighted easily either at the water sources or in the less dense grasslands of Serengeti Tanzania.

The temperatures are also cooler in this season and this is why most visitors find it more suitable to. The great wildebeest migration movements in Serengeti also collides with this period of time. Here, wildebeests start crossing to the Mara region of Kenya in the Maasai mara reserve.

The rainy season in Tanzania also has two periods. Note that this is also the worst time to visit Serengeti. The first one which is the longest goes from early March to May. Then the other goes from November to December and this period attracts more bird species. Although less people come during this period because of the poor road conditions. Hence, makes it hard to access some game viewing locations in the Serengeti.

During this rainy season in Serengeti, Serengeti Mara Safari offers way cheap safari holidays during this time of the year. In addition, this is because they are competing for the few available customers in Serengeti National Park Tanzania. Unlike in the dry season where the Serengeti safari tour packages and accommodations are competed for by the visitors. And also the high demand raises the prices of the Serengeti tour packages in Tanzania.
