Best and worst time for the 4 days group safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro
The best time to visit Serengeti and Ngorongoro for this 4 day group safari is from early December to February and July to early September. So, this is the dry period where the vegetation is low, so visibility is excellent. For example, the Tanzania big 5 predators, i.e., the lions and leopards, are easier to spot and often hunt in dry river corridors.
The Northern and Western Corridor plains are prime for dramatic Serengeti wildebeest migration scenes from June to October. Also, roads like the gravel high-water to Ngorongoro Crater and the main Seronera track harden to a firm. Hence, they become comfortable with road transfers from Serengeti to Ngorongoro on this 4 day group safari in Tanzania.
The less ideal time for the 4-days group safari in Ngorongoro and Serengeti is from March to May. During this time, there are prolonged rains that make routes like the Ndutu Interior tracks muddy. Hence, this leads to transportation delays. Also, some remote Serengeti Tented camps like the Mara Mist Mobile Camp are seasonal and depend on passable access roads to protect staff and supplies.
Hence, getting accommodation services for the 4 day Serengeti and Ngorongoro group safari might be hard. On the bright side, the landscape becomes intensely beautiful and ideal for photographers who love the vibrant green landscape.
