Itinerary for the days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.
Day 1; entering the Tarangire national park.
The warthogs are the first wild animal you set your eyes on as soon as you arrive in the Tarangire national park. You will see them roaming freely in the green yard of the park’s entrance. You will then proceed through the bulk road of the national park and yoou will get to see one of the big five moving in large herds to the nearby water pool.
On arriving at your safari lodge in the park, you will be received with an organic refreshment then you will be taken to your cozy room that is surrounded by the wild plants and the gigantic trees. Proceed for dinner in the seating lounge of your safari camp and taste the aroma made by the skilled chefs with the flavor of the indigenous ingredients. Take a nature walk around the safari camp and get to avail your eyes with the intriguing bold landscapes of the African wilderness and later head back to you room for a refreshing rest.
Day 2; exploring the diverse eco-systems of Tarangire national park.
Wake up to the beautiful songs of the birds and the whispers of the movement of the tree branches and the leaves and as you move out of your hotel room, you will be greeted by the flowery virgin scent that will arouse in you the sense of attachment to nature. Head to the lounge dining area and be served with breakfast and then board the safari vehicles.
You journey through the Tarangire national park starts with the sight of the large herds of the elephants roaming around the park. The Tarangire park is one of the park’s that is known for holding vast herds of the elephants therefore on your drive, you will observe many of them on you way and some just crossing past your safari vehicle in large groups. You will then have a lunch break at one of the seating areas in the park and here you will see the baboons some coming for your food/snack and others just hanging in trees.
You will then go back to the safari vehicle and continue you game drive and among the wild animals you will see during this game drive are, the fringe-eared Oryx, the zebras and the ostriches moving with pride with their necks stretched out in the air as they gently flap their wings. Tarangire national park, also a habitat for the ancient baobab trees that have lived for nearly 3000 years and on you game drive , your eyes will meet many of these scattered in the landscape. Head back to your safari lodge and have your own kind of selective dinner and head to your comfortable abode.
Day 3; drive to Serengeti.
On finishing your breakfast on this day, your safari vehicles will be awaiting for you outside in the parking yard. The distance by road from Tarangire to Serengeti Is about 6-8 hours therefore you will have to sit tight for an adventurous road trip through the busy towns of Tanzania however on the way you will have different refreshment stop overs.
As you approach the gates of Serengeti national park, you start to experience feelings of excitement because you can now already some of the big five like the lions and the moving freely in the infinite grasslands. The trip is usually exhausting hence you will enjoy an evening meal at your safari camp.
Day 4; the diverse eco-systems of Serengeti.
At sunrise, you will have a hot air balloon experience where you will view the African wilderness world at an aerial view point. As you sail midair, you will get to see the infinite herds crossing the mara river and the chaotic predator-prey chases as the sun sets its glorious beauty on the golden-painted thriving grasslands of the Serengeti. After this adventurous moment, you will head back down for a Serengeti bush breakfast experience where you will be served with a variety of international and local breakfast dishes as you socialize with other visitors of Serengeti.
Later you will continue the game drive, and as you procced through the vast land, you will get a chance to spot the big five (lions, leopards, buffaloes. Rhinos and elephants) and you will also get to see other predators like the crocodiles basking in the sun and the hyenas scavenging and hunting their prey. Later you will be entertained with the Maasai traditional dance as yoou enjoy dinner at your safari camp restaurant.
Day 5; Ngorongoro crater.
At 6; 30 am you will drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro and the journey will be about 5 hours. Ngorongoro crater is one of the largest a calderas in the world with a diverse eco-system living in harmony with the Maasai people because of the water and food supply support both the animals and the human beings benefit from the permanent water holes and the fertile soils.
Reach the gates of Ngorongoro and then proceed through the sandy –like pathways and because of the serenity of the environment you can hear distant whispers of the wild like the munching of the grass by the zebras feeding on the green pastures. Reach the caldera and be greeted with the elegant pink flamingos as they feed on the algae at the shorelines and you will also get to see the rhinos and warthogs drinking the waters of the caldera.
