Day 1: The beginning of the 10-day Kenya holiday and transfer to Lake Naivasha National Park from Nairobi.

Wilson International Airport in Nairobi is your pickup point as you travel to Lake Naivasha National Park. So, receive your first briefing from your safari guide before heading onto the well-paved A104 highway to Lake Naivasha for a safari. Additionally, driving from Wilson International Airport to the Lake Crescent camp in Lake Naivasha takes about 2 and a half hours since there is a food stopover at the Delamere shopping center. Leave the bustling city center of Nairobi, as your view shifts to the local trading centers alongside the thriving markets.

Approach the rift valley escarpment, step out of the vehicle, and take in the magnificent views and photos of the valley. Also, stop by the nearby shops selling the handmade Maasai jewelry, and as a sign of appreciation for their work, buy from them. Then, board the safari vehicle again, but your scenery shifts to the green greenhouses alongside the road. Be mesmerized by the hot springs around, then have a packed lunch after. Cycle with the rented bike through Hell’s Gate before going for the boat safaris at Lake Naivasha. So, observe the fishing activity and wildlife like the hippos in the pool and the pelicans on the water. Later, head back to the Lake Crescent camp for dinner before you head to rest.

Day 3: Trip to Lake Nakuru National Park from Lake Naivasha in Kenya

A heavy breakfast is served at around 8:46 AM, and this time, prepare to head north of the rift valley to Lake Nakuru National Park on a 2-hour drive. While on this 77 km road trip from Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru, observe various plantations, like maize, and here you might see farmers tending to their fields. Join your tour guide at the serving table at around 8:25 AM for your meal and discuss your hiking tour to the Makalia Falls for the day. Later, be driven to the starting point of the trail together with an armed ranger for protection, and then start to trek through the thickets. So, see the vervet monkeys jumping from branch to branch, and the impalas also foraging around the acacia woodlands when hiking to the Makalia Falls. Also, spot birds like the wagtails that fly just above your head.

When you reach Makalia Falls, be amazed by the cinematic, breathtaking outlook of the falls, and right beside it is where you will enjoy your picnic. Later, descend the falls in Lake Nakuru and head back to the trail start and hop into the safari vehicle for a game drive. Notice the black and white rhino groups scattered in the grassland, with the leopards well rested in the trees, while the zebras stay alert to keep safe from the cheetah stalking them. Later, head back to the Lake Nakuru lodge, where a bush dinner is served and rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Masai Mara National Park for the Kenya Safari Tours

The trip to Masai Mara National Reserve from Lake Nakuru is longer than the past road trips, as it takes 5-6 hours. And this also depends on how many stopovers there are to make during this trip. However, Narok town is usually the major stopover point where you are to stop and catch your breath of fresh air. Also, grab a bite, then continue onto the rough road towards the Sekenani gate of Masai Mara.

So, observe wildlife in Masai Mara like the zebras, wildebeests, elands, and warthogs as you head to the Mara Sopa Luxury Lodge in Masai Mara located at the valley floor. Enjoy local entertainment from the Maasai dancers, which is what welcomes you as the staff of this Mara Sopa lodge. The journey is normally tiresome, so freshen up and take a nap as your dinner is being prepared around the campfire. Day 6: Experience the Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari

Also, watch the Nile crocodiles jump up midair to capture these wildebeests in the reserve crossing from Serengeti National Park. The ones that would have arrived safely will scatter and start grazing on the fresher grasslands alongside the zebras.

After the packed lunch, go for another Masai Mara safari game drive to see the caracal and serval lounging in the grasslands with the already dead birds. Finally, return to the Mara Sopa lodge, but this time unwind at the restaurant while you eat and listen to calming music before going to bed.

Day 7: Travel to Amboseli National Park from Masai Mara

When it comes to long road trips in Kenya, this one surpasses all the past ones that we have seen in the past. So, on this day prepare and embark on an 8-hour road trip from Masai Mara National Reserve to Amboseli. Wake up by 6:00 AM and be ready to set off to the land of rolling plains. This time you are driven unto the trans-African highway. On your 451km road trip to Amboseli from Masai Mara, observe the local Maasai vendors with their goods. Stop at the popular Sopa Curio and Cultural hub and enjoy barbecue accompanied by traditional meals.

Also, walk around and stretch your legs before you continue to be driven towards the Meshanani gate. Later, continue to Kibo Safari Camp, and since the journey is long and you might probably reach it in the evening. Enjoy a heavy meal, and later head to your room and rest.

Day 8: Full day Amboseli National Park Safari and Wildlife Exploration

Breakfast is served at the restaurant, and after the briefing with your guide by 9:00AM, the day’s Amboseli safari experiences begin with a game drive along the Enkongo Narok swamp. Day 9: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park in Kenya from Amboseli.

After breakfast on the 9th day, board the safari vehicle and navigate through the Shetani Lava plateau. Additionally, observe the rolling Chyulu hills, and as you approach the Chyulu gate, view the Maasai communities in Kenya. Nevertheless, the journey from Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park takes approximately 3 hours. Go through the gate and pass via the verdant green thickets towards the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

Check in, freshen up, and wash off the dust from this Amboseli-Tsavo West road trip. Then, proceed for a meal before you head to an afternoon game drive. Embark on a Tsavo West safari game drive later and observe elephant herds, but this time with reddish skin. Day 10: Transfer to Tsavo  East National park then back to Wilson International Airport.

Wake up by 8:00AM, and this time have a packed breakfast to save time so that you can enjoy more of Tsavo East too. So, from Tsavo West to Tsavo East, it takes up to two hours and 45 minutes, passing via the Nairobi-Mombasa highway towards the Manyani gate. Then, head towards the Aruba Dam, which is a place where the red elephants, the cape buffaloes, the gerenuks, and the warthogs congregate to drink water.

Nevertheless, be driven towards the Yatta plateau, which has an astonishing sight that is ideal for photography. Then you head to the Voi Safari Lodge for a meal before you head back to Wilson International Airport. Therefore, depending on traffic, it may take four to five hours to get there, but you will arrive in time for your flight home at ten o’clock at night.
