The dry season in Kenya normally varies from late June to October and this is the period Kenya normally receives lesser amounts of rainfall compared to other months.

 

This period also offers a variety of wildlife viewing possibilities such as the wildebeest migration, an event that normally occurs during this period of time. Tourists also get to spot other plenty of wild animals including the rare ones such as       the black rhinoceros, Caracal and aardvark that would easily be tracked down during this period because of the sparsely distributed vegetation in the parks since there is  less rainfall amounts received.  For the boat activities and marine viewing  are also best during this time because of optimum availability of the marine animals during this time and there’s less wind on the water bodies that could disrupt the boat activities like kayaking.

Worst time to visit Kenya.

The worst time to visit Kenya is during the months of March, May, November and December because this is the time Kenya receives reasonable amounts of rainfall. Nonetheless, the months of March and May receive heavy amounts of rainfall making some tourism areas prone to floods and this makes visiting Kenya for visitors during this period riskier. The  rain also  makes it hard for visitors in park carrying out game viewing  since some of the wild animals’ seek   asylum in thicker places to hide from the rain thus the tourists aren’t able to spot them. The adventurous activities on water like surfing also become hard because of the un calm waters that makes it hard for sailors to navigate the waters.

However during this season there are less visitors in Kenya making the tourist sites less crowded and cheaper packages are provided compared to the dry season.
